The gorilla is the largest of the great apes. This skull, cast from an exceptionally large gorilla, has an extremely prominent crest and excellent dentition. Inhabiting the rainforests of Africa, dangerously few of the endangered mountain and lowland gorillas remain. The largest of the great apes, the gorilla weighs 300 - 400 lbs and stands 6 feet tall. Gorillas are peaceful, intelligent and persistent problem solvers.
