The mandrill skull features unique structural projections which run down its nostrils. The mandrill has unusual, brightly colored blue and scarlet patches of skin on its face, and scarlet patches of skin on its rump. Exclusive to the forests of Western Africa, these diurnal, terrestrial omnivores could be nature's most colorful mammals.
