Homo ergaster skeleton
KNM WT 15000
'Nariokotome Boy'

Homo ergaster KNM-WT-15000 (Nariokotome boy) was discovered in 1984 in Nariokotome, Kenya by Richard Leaky (and described as H. erectus). This is the first skeleton dated before 100,000 years that is complete enough to get accurate measurements to determine brain size. These skeletal parts gave anthropologists a great deal of information regarding size, stature, age of death (probably 12 or 13 years) and whether or not language was possible. Some bones reveal a greater ability to run than modern humans, and some reveal a closer affinity to australopithecines.

These hominids have been carefully researched and re-created based on casts made from the original fossils, the latest literature and full color, life-size photographs.
