Insects account for more than 50 percent of all animal and plant life on earth. More than a million species of every shape and form have been identified and several times that number remain unnamed. Evolution offers the most beautiful and unusual collectable insects available. They are completely natural in color and are not treated in any way. Nearly all originate in the tropical and subtropical regions of southeast Asia, South America, and Africa. All our butterflies and most of our beetles come from insect farms and other sources approved by U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service. Insect farming helps provide income for indigenous people as an alternative to cutting down the forests for wood.

Natural Wood Frames: These handsome display boxes are hand-crafted from fine domestic hardwood ash with glass on the front and the back. A brass hanger is attached for wall mounting. Each insect's scientific name and origin is printed on the reverse side.

Black Lacquered Frame: As above, but finished in black lacquer.

Simple Cotton-filled Frame: These economically priced displays are an attractive alternative to our natural wooden frames. Constructed from heavy cardboard covered with black embossed paper and have a glass top.

Unframed / Loose Insects: We stock a large selection of insects suitable for photographers, decorators, and collectors. Our entomologists also do custom work and are available for on-site projects.
